Default Good to hear from you

Wow,you have been through the mill and back again. I can tell you are a fighter. I will keep you in my daily prayers. I have had my mom and DH at the wound center. Both had good results. I'm am a Licensed Practical Nurse and don't mind talking about things medical. I have had cancer four times and did well with radiation and chemotherapy. April 10th I am scheduled for left knee replacement. Twice i flunked my preoperative physical. Now I am on daily low dose antibiotics and will see the specialist soon. I'm convinced the third time will be a charm and I will pass my preop tests(only flunked one). Just want to get it over with and enjoy the upcoming camping season. Enjoyed our days of warm weather. Got a chance to again pick up leaves from the yard. The next day we had 50MPH winds..so a little bit of the neighbors mess blew in. DH had a chance to change the oil in our truck. We got the emergency brake replaced(our drive has a slope). Then two days later the original 15ft. brake line rusted out. We have a fabulous mechanic and all is now well. A fewyears ago I had to have part of my thyroid removed. Then I was home with a drain attached to a collection bulb hanging off my neck. I went to sit in my office chair and it rolled out from under me. Ended up on the floor and it woke DH up from sleeping and DD came running. The chair was on its side. DD tried to pick up the chair and dropped it on dads bare foot. My Dr. said if I keep falling I would need a wheel chair !! Silly questions they ask you because of Obama care. It is never funny when it happens. Somehow it get funny when you retell the episode(picturing it in your mind). Keep warm Sam

Default wow

you ain't had no picnic yourself. can I ask who is DH? lol ,April ain't far off. I don't know much about the knee replacement thing. my sister just fell about 8 weeks ago had a total hip replacement, ball was broken in 2 and out just hanging there. it wasn't even attached to her body no more. she's doing good, bed rest for like 2 months tho and just complaining about all the weight she's gained. she has hypothyroidism and graves disease also. I have Meniere's disease and I am deaf in right ear from unrelated trauma. ok that's all the more i will talk about health wise on here. thanks everyone if you read I hope I didn't upset anyone.

Default Health issues

DH is dear husband. Took DH to the eye dr. today and I has to be the designated driver for the return trip as he got his eyes dilated and a laser treatment in one eye. Struck up a conversation with a 79 yr. old women. Her son is only 52yrs. old and has a terrible cancer diagnosis. Cancer is the worst word I can think of in the english language. We all seem to have our medical issues. I am doing very well and have been in remission for five yrs. I see my oncologist twice a year for blood work and a hands on examination. My friend tipped over her motorized chair in some mud and fractured her hip. When the Dr. did surgery he said she didn't have much hip to replace. Anyway we have spring and better weather to look forward to.

Default Good progress

Nice work. I know, sometimes it is four steps forward and two steps backword. It has been extremely windy here lately. Thousands are without power and many poles and trees down. We still have our power and I will have to rake the front lawn of small twigs. It will be in the single digets this weekend. DD has to wear her long johns to work as she stands a little beyond the door way as a greeter. Home Depot sold out of all their big generators. They even had to transport a few to another store in a hard hit area. Some schools have been closed for two days. Spring where are you?!!

wow sorry it took so long. been laid up for a week off and on. my camper is coming along huh? a lot of the junk on edges and ugly spots on the wall will be gone. I found it much easier to wire brush the bad spots with a drill the lightly sand them and then touch up w stain it works great, and saves the arm and lots of time. the lab volt as u can see is a variable 120vac/12vdc variable voltage control. I am switching it and hooking in an outlet then putting plugs on the white fixtures to plug into and they will be dimmable also any 120 lights I plug into it will be dimmable too. It also slows down blower motors etc. I use it as a variable speed for my dremmel tool already for carving. I should have never messed with the sink. so how'd the cleanup go things back to normal up there?

Default Lots of snow and single digit temps

Today DH got to use our medium sized John Deere snow blower. More snow and winds predicted for this week. DH has a dentist apt. Monday and I have my colonoscopy Friday (JOY). Some people still are without power. Burr!! I just stay inside and let DH have snow detail.

Default Thanks for the chuckle

We have been very fortunate for alot of years with no loss of power at our home. The worst of the storm will be over mid day Wed. Last Friday was DH turn. One poor sole was having it done for the first time. He had the joy of no power at his home. BR duty by candle light. We have a space heater in our attic that runs on Natural gas. Wouldn't have the electric blower. We also have a kerosene heater that when placed in our front hallway keeps the upstairs fairly cozy. Our gas stove just has to be lit by hand. Plenty of batteries on hand. In other words camping out in the house.

Default My new switches and outlets

this is for my 12vdc its a new doorbell I took apart to use for my housing and the led lites. when I put the 1 on the cupboard door it will swing to wherever I need light and it rotates 360. I am putting the othe one down at the other end of the bed, and the recessed ones in thwe ceiling. my solar battery and inverter ,will run all my lites, my tv, my coffee pot, and more tho not all at the same time cept for lites and tv. with 40 watt system I used lites and tv all day and nite as long as my battery don't go below 11.4 volts. that was two 5 watt cfl bulbs. of course i'm not using electrical tape and that will prolly go in the back window and I put my ac in there. we are expecting a 3 day blizzard here starting tonight. gotta go get some thing and prepare. gotta go to laundry mat ughhhhhhhh. with my walker. ughhhhhhh

Default Repairs coming along

You certainly have "one of a kind HiLo". DH and I keep saying his dream would have been to get an older Airstream and make it custom. We should have done this when he was younger and had access to a full sheet metal shop at work.

why thank you I was worried about looking respect full at a respectful campground and getting turned away for being a terrorist or some sh****t so leave the camo paint actually the 1 side isn't even done yet.

it's very easy to touch up scratches LMAO I think it is one of the oldest ones on here. i'm sure there are more but boy did I luck out. like I said I found a roof vent brand new with new flow max cover on top of a trash can. I accidentally put new plywood and carpet up on ceiling over my existing one, I forgot it was there ,lmao. now in summer have to put that in but it will be nice. I also have a 12 vdc or 120 ac blower for the 1 burner stove for to blow out heat in the winter. oh yeah a 12 or 120 volt 15 inch Sylvania tv w remote antenna. also a burglar alarm. lol and cant forget my 650 watt coffee maker from goodwill for $3.00
