When I purchased my 24t it had some damage to the underside of the front overhang that was repaired with aluminum speed tape. It appeared that somebody inadvertently left something laying on the top of the battery box and lowered the top. I removed the tape and saw that the panel was cracked and slightly pushed up.
I wanted to do a permanent repair without having to completely remove and replace the panel that was damaged. In order to do this I decided to use some very thin aluminum sheets. I found textured aluminum sheets at a local Home Depot that were 1-foot wide, 3-foot long, and very thin. I used two of these sheets overlapped by 6" at the middle. The sheets were glued to the existing panel using 3M 5200 Marine Adhesive Sealant. I also used aluminum rivets all around.
