The safety bar that came through the floor was caused by my buddy not holding the release cable until the top unit lowered. It got mangled and came through the floor in front of the oven. After days on end under the trailer trying to figure out how to get it back in there, I saw a post on here concerning the safety bar, and the camper welded into place. The Hi-Lo's are built from the ground up, and the safety bar is put in place above the ram and then the floor is put over it. IMPOSSIBLE to put it back after cutting it out of the floor and welding the mangled piece back into the right shape. So, we are going to cut a 6x4 hole in the floor, cut 3/4 inch off the safety bar in order to get it in the slot, then weld the (end opposite the cable end) in place, crimp a new cable to the lift end, run the cable back under table and through the operation panel and see what happens. Thanks goes out to Midget RV for the great info. If it works, we will put a small metal trap door over the weld spot, even with the floor, put a rug over it and call it good. ( I might even talk the wife into keeping it, but highly doubtful). Our email is
