HiLo wanted
Need more information. What is your tow vehicle? Do you want a lighter version..Towlite. Or the heavier version...Classic. What is your budget?

These trailers have reduced wind resistance while towing but tend to trade that for weight. I currently tow a 22 footer with a 1998 Explorer that is a bit modified. When I started the tow vehicle was stock as was the trailer. It will pull it fine but be aware, when loaded, this trailer was 6500 lbs. Both trailer and tow vehicle are now heavily modified. My last trip the trailer was 8600 lbs loaded. Still pulls OK but I think Im at the limit of both.

Thank You for the info. I really do need to keep the weight down. I just want it to take around here in Texas.

I towed my Funlite 9421FLL behind my 99 Dodge Durango for years.
My observations:
- Weight of the trailer is not the critical factor, although it may become one at altitude
- Wheelbase is critical to towing comfortably so that the tail doesn't wag the dog
-- With your short wheelbase, you will want load distributing hitch and sway control
- You should consider a heavy duty torque converter, auxillary cooler, and a gauge for the transmission
- If someone still makes a brake pressure transdcuer-based brake controller, get that over the accelrometer-based tekonsha controllers. The ability to modulate the brakes (unlock the wheels) when braking down hill in the rain or on gravel will be substantially better.

I would be willing to sell mine for $4,500 with the LD hitch, but I would want to make sure that the roof is sealed and the cables adjusted before I sold it. Depends if you're in a hurry. Mine weighs 4,300 lbs with a half-filled water tank and a typical unpacked load, which means the stuff we normally leave in the trailer between trips. The interior was modified using all factory parts so instead of the couch at the front, it has a table and two couches that fold into a bed, It also has an overhead bed, so it sleeps 6.

Are you still looking?
Our HiLo 22' Funchaser is on the market. It has everything and has not been used since my heart attack in 2017. I had a new roof installed about five years ago. I installed all new stainless steel rigging cables a few years back. I am a sailboater, so familiar with rigging. I am asking $4,000 OBO. Located in Pensacola, Florida

I have a 22 foot 1989 'FUNCHASER' For Sale in Show Low, N/E Arizona. Max. gross weight is 5000 pounds, & she tows great behind my Silverado, 4.8 liter V8. The trailer is fully functional (everything works!), & performed well last year for a 6 month trip to Tropical Mexico. I have it for sale, here in the Arizona White Mountains, for $4400. I'd be willing to discuss delivery to San Antonio, for a total of $5000...you're about 800 miles from me. Feel free to call me to discuss possibilities: (928) 201-1201...or Email: 'straywhitebuffalo@yahoo.com'

Looking in NC
We are looking for a hi-lo that has a bed. We camped many years ago in a hi lo and may buy another one if we find the right one for us. Thanks

‘87 FunLite
We have a 1987 FunLite for sale. Mechanically it’s in good shape for its age. It needs new tires and some cosmetic repairs inside. It’s a 21 ft and we towed with a 6 cylinder Town & Country with no issues. It also comes with a load distribution hitch and you could take it camping as is and be comfortable. We’re asking $2000. Feel free to contact us with questions.
Thanks,
Kevin
