Exclamation Do You Know This 24ft Funchaser?

I have a friend who is wanting to buy a HiLo and he's found this one: https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/199...-alert-listing

If you were the former owner, would you mind replying to me regarding its condition?

Thanks, - Jack

Jack, looks decent in the photos, The only thing I would say on that model, which I have, but different layout in the front, the tires are a bear to get out from under the fender skirts. I raised mine 1" for clearance, for reference looking straight in I now have about 2" from top of wheel to bottom of skirt. The tires come off now without bending the skirt.

Thanks, Gary - I'll let my friend know. He's already thinking of raising the suspension if he gets a HiLo since he likes to boondock and would travel over forest service roads.

Good grief! I've just learned that dealership is wanting $10,900 for the trailer. (Average NADA retail is a bit under $5000.) They told my friend they MIGHT come down a "little" or would give him a $500 gift certificate.

Cowboys RV Mart does NOT seem to be the place to get a trailer for a fair price!

Wonder how much the former owner got for it?

My friend is now looking at an Airstream Bambi owned by a mutual friend. It's in the same town where he lives.

Default Airstream trailers

Jack, We have an interest in Airstream trailers as DH is a retired sheet metal fabricator. I have been on the forum for a least four years. I would highly suggest that your friend get on the Airstream Trailer & Motorhome Owners Community. Start reading about Airstreams. They even have a Bambi sub forum. Lots of maintenance and leaks to watch for. Single axle trailers are a challenge to back up. We could never afford one. Even if we got an older one it would cost at least ten thousand dollars to restore. Parts are very expensive. Something we should have done at a much younger age!! Isn't hindsight a great thing.
