This is interesting! I just got a phone call from Dillon's RV City in Mesa, where we bought our HiLo back in 2007. They were wondering if I still had it and if so, would I be willing to sell it to them? They implied there is a demand for our trailers that they can't fill.

I told them we weren't interested in selling, since we enjoy using it.

Did they say that they had the perfect replacement for it? I would consider trading even up for a new Airstream.

Hilo becoming extinct

My husband said if we didn't own a HiLo he would like an airstream. So over the winter I did extensive research on airstreams. I think his interest stems from his time that he worked in an aircraft factory. Anyway Airstream trailers are very exxpensive to buy brand new. If you got a used one it would cost you about $3 grand to modernize it and do any necessary repairs. Every so often the exterior neede to be polished.

Just hang on the your Hi-Los and take good care of them. I think the dealer has dollar signs in his eyes. I get mail from my Toyota dealer wanting me to trade my 2007 Tacoma at a premium for a new one because there such a big market for used ones. Guess who will make out on that deal. The market for used RVs is a good money maker.
