Default Looking for a 17' to 19' Towlite Near Michigan

Hi, I am new here and am looking for a well maintained Hi-Lo Towlite that will fit in my garage. Likely looking for a 17RK, 17T, 18H, or 19T from the 2000s, newer the better, but condition is more important than year. All systems should work and maintenance should be up to date with no leaks or de-lamination to repair as I am not looking for a project. Ideally, I would like one that has been stored indoors when not in use. I am willing to pay a premium for the right trailer in the right condition. Willing to drive a bit, but in or near southern Michigan would be best. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

I don't know my reply went to you so if this is a duplicate I apologize.
I have a 2004 17T for sale. I am near Nashville and it is listed in Facebook Marketplace here. My wife and i took our last camping trip this summer to see the UP waterfalls, had it listed in Northern MI Craigslist, just missed you.
I store it in my garage and the folks I bought it from stored it in a carport.
The good: Tires and battery near new. New Dometic fridge, Ac works well as does the hot water heater, furnace and water pump. Resealed the roof this summer.
The bad: Needs new awning fabric. Mechanics are good, fabric is not. Front window has a minor intermittent leak. I would have recaulked the window by now but am recovering from shoulder surgery.

Default HiLo for sale

Your Towlite seems to be well kept. The new buyer could measure the awning fabric and get replacement fabric at shade Pro. Measurement is key. The front window may need to be taken out and realigned with butyl tape. Use Lexell caulk on the outside. UTUBE has a video on how to do this. Best of luck healing up from shoulder surgery. I am recuperating from heart valve replacement. I can only lift ten pounds!! A good excuse to have DH help me with house work. Some have just bought a clam shell dinning shelter. Best of luck finding a buyer.

Thank you! I have a lead on a 1990s 21' Funlite closer to home. I think that one will fit in my garage if I take the spare tire off the bumper, so my limit is now up to 21 feet. I'll contact you for more info if that one does not work out.

Default Getting a HiLo

Be sure to measure your garage for height and length. Measure the Funlite from tongue to bumper. Also account for the AC unit/height. Make sure your Tow vehicle can tow the heavier Funlight. What is your tow vehicle?

I have made the measurements. A 21-footer will fit, a 22-footer will not fit. My 2500HD pickup will have no problem towing any length Hi Lo. Garage space is the limiting factor. Lorrie likes the 21' floorplan better than the shorter units, especially the bathroom, so a pre-2000 21' FunLite or Towlite that may now be the top of the list.

Default Buying a HiLo

We also tow with a F250. Ours is a 26ft. Classic. We keep having to look in the mirror to see if it is still back there. Use the buyers check list. A HiLo of this vintage will need to have all the windows taken out and resealed. Have the appliances been replaced? Get up on the roof and look for soft spots and dicor that needs to be renewed. I owned a 1990 HiLo so I know what could need to be replaced/repaired. Our current HiLo is a 1996. If this doesn't work out for you more will be available in the spring for sale. Keep us posted.
