Looking for used Hi-Lo reasonably close to NC
We are looking for a 2000-2005 Hi-Lo. We are in NC very close to VA. We would not mind travelling several hundred miles for the right deal.

Hi; Welcome to the forum. We live near Charlottesville VA. If you need and help in evaluating a HiLo let me know and will help any way I can. We bought our HiLo in Cape Cod and was well worth the trip to get a good one.

Looking for a HiLo
rlwhite 2003,Welcome to the forum. Where are you located? Are you looking for a Towlite or a Classic? Classics are heavier. What is your tow vehicle? Any info you give us helps us possibly locate one for you.

Additional info......
We are between Roanoke VA and Winston-Salem NC. We are leaning towards a towlite, but would not rule out a classic. We tow with a GMC 1500 Sierra. In 2002, we bought a cabana 25 ft hybrid travel trailer. We loved it, but my husband HATED pulling it. So, last year we bought an older jayco pop-up. My husband LOVES to pull but I hate the set-up process (and just pray it is not wet when you break down). So, I think the hi-lo is the solution for our future camping. There are 3 of us (eight year old child) so I think we need something bigger than the 19 ft. And, I am sure our budget confines the potential size.

Try to find one that has the drop down bunk, it will be better for the three of you. THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE HERE! The 22 footer would make an excellent size, it's easy to tow and has some passing room inside. That was HiLo's most popular size.

22TowliteFor sale
The prospective buyer should consider that towlites are no longer being manufactured. You could send her pictures and see if the price is in her budget. Then you could work out creative ways for the sale to happen. Trying to be optomisticfor both parties involved.

Hi. I am currently looking at a 2001 TD 24' hi-low towlite. Is 24' a good length do you think? Love the windows. Thanks.

It's a perfectly good length, depending on your needs. Do you plan to camp in commercial campgrounds with hookups? It would be ideal for this purpose and would be easily towed with a Superduty class truck. It will give you lots of room.
If you have a smaller tow vehicle, or want to camp more in boondock style campsites, then a shorter trailer (maybe up to 21 ft) would be easier to maneuver into tight spaces and would be better suited. We have a 17 ft trailer and find it perfect for the Forest Service campground camping we prefer. We don't "live" in the trailer during the day - we use it for sleeping and to get out of the weather if needed.
