ALSO, there was a thin sheet of wood panel screwed to frame for the mattress to lay on. This I removed and disposed of, but a trip to Home Depot will take care of that and you already have the screw holes in the frame.

Thanks for the pics and measurements. I would need everything but the mattress. Can the frame come apart? Or is it riveted together? If it comes apart, then I think the shipping would be a lot cheaper. If I could get the shipping dimension to 85” by 5” by 5” and weigh 27lbs, I’ll use those measurements to get a quote for shipping. I would not mind sending you $25 for your troubles. Thanks again.

Correct. It can be unscrewed. Probably take 5 minutes. Not sure it will squeeze down to 5" X 5" but should be pretty close. Appreciate the thought but if you apply the money towards the freight it will really seem like a heck of a deal. P.S. The mattress is really nice, extra clean and feels extremely comfortable BUT have not tried to sleep on it. If you do not want it, we have someone that wanted the mattress only.

If this works out for you, I can photograph and print more detailed pictures on how to put all back together again and enclose with hardware. Which model Hilo do you have? Just curious.

I have a 2010 2510H. The bunk for some reason is missing but it did have one in it.

I don’t need the mattress, though thanks for the offer. So how much trouble would it be to duct tape all the parts together and drop off at a fed ex or UPS for them to ship? I can contact them and pay over the phone. I’ll mail you a check for $25 for your troubles. My address is 26917 N 20th Ln, Phoenix AZ, 85085.

Let me know what you think.

It had crossed my mind. Last year I had a radial arm saw that was on a recall. The company sent me a big box from FedEx already to go with an addressed shipping label and all. Dropped it in the box, slapped label on and dropped it off at the FedEx. FedEx is 6 blocks from me and no hassle since I have a pickup truck to boot.

This will be no problem if you want to arrange however you want to handle, with FedEx or UPS....wife just informed me that they also have a neighborhood office within 6 blks or so. Let me know. My email address is [email] or keep contacting thru this site. If you do box I would go a little larger than 5"X5".

Either way of contact is fine. We can use this forum. My email is caliphat71@yahoo.com

Fed Ex is good for me. What ever size box they can fit the parts in is fine with me. Let me know the phone number of the Fed Ex when you get it and when you drop the parts off I’ll call them and pay for shipping. I’m off work from now and all next week. My number is 928.814.4300. Thanks again for all the effort and help. I look forward to getting the parts and getting the bunk up. Chris

FedEx neighborhood store phone# (817) 232-3734. Store hours for tomorrow (Saturday) are 10 A.M. to 3P.M. I will try to be up there with stuff around 10 to 11 A.M. According to website they do the packing. I probably need a last name for shipping or you can give that at time you call them. Let me know that you got this I will be calling on in the morning if we have a go.
