Default Can you store stuff in lowered hilo?

Hi all. New to this forum. I was thinking of buying a used 17 ft hilo and was wondering if stuff like surfboards...etc can be stored in the trailer while traveling (with the trailer lowered).

Another question: can one tow the hilo in its raised setting?
Thanks.

But, DO NOT tow with the top raised! It puts too much stress on things that are not built for it.

I have a 17 and I put two Kayaks in it when I travel with the top down, no problem. One on it side on the floor and the other cross ways straddling the couch and dinette , the dinette is in the down position.
