Default Folded Height with A/C?

Hi,
I just started investigating Hi Lo trailers, but would need to store one in my garage if I buy one. The brochure specs appear to list the folded height without optional equipment and I see the A/C is optional, though most have them. How tall is a folded Hi Lo to the top of a roof A/C? If it matters, I would likely be looking for a 2001-2010 17T or 19T to fit in my garage. Thanks in advance.

I'm fairly sure the AC adds about 9" to the height. And, as I recall the roof height is listed as 72" when the top is down so about 81" total. But, even if I'm right on these numbers, you'd have to measure any trailer you get, because there are individual variances.

Good Morning!

One other thing to be aware of is the make/model of the A/C unit. The factory installed units were low profile Dometic Penguin units and are about 9" tall as jack pointed out. Where you need to be careful is many of those have been replaced over the years due to the age. I mention this because lower cost units are usually taller than the more expensive low profile units that came stock. Cost conscious buyers may elect to replace with a unit that is taller than the original if they do not need the height savings the lower profile units offer.

In any event, you could always replace a high profile unit with a lower profile unit, but be aware that would be an expense of approx. $1,500 or so depending on where you source a new unit.

Good luck!

Thank you both! My garage door opening is the standard 7' (actually about 83.5"), so it sounds like with an original or low profile replacement A/C, it should probably fit. Thanks again!
