Default 1976 hi lo vin location

Hi new to the site. I picked up a 1976 hi lo project but I can't find the vin anywhere. There is the rvia seal thing by the door but no vin. Any ideas? Let me know thanks

Gadget5, Typically it's on a placard drivers side front, you can also check inside the kitchen cabinet doors. I've worked on many Hi Los and it's been said that the VIN is stamped on the "A" frame. I've never found one VIN on any "A" frame. Even sanded two frames and didn't see a VIN. I'm looking for a VIN on a '86 I just aquired. Best of luck, let us know if and when you find. I'm in Bonita Springs, where are you?

Check state law all you might have to do is weigh it and call it home made

Ohioian, That's the plan with my '86. Seems at my Tax Collector's office, you have to get the right person to do that.
Hope Gadget5 has great luck doing the same if needed.

Mines a 72, it's on the door side of A hitch right behind propane tanks on side of frame on a metal plate.

Have no metal plates anywhere Tater. Think that's one reason it was in a salvage yard, no way to ID it.

I'm currently renovating mine. If I find another spot I'll let you know.
