Default 1993 Atwood water heater anode?

Does anyone know if the 1993 classic propane water heater requires an anode rod. Im getting conflicting information however, majority say 'no' as atwood heater is aluminium...?

Atwood water heaters do not require an anode rod while Suburban water heaters do. It is because of the different tank construction. Atwood tanks are coated on the inside and Suburban tanks are not.

I would not put an anode in an Atwood water heater. It has a nylon drain plug and that is what you should use.
