A great year, but Hi-Lo camping ends

January last year I bought a fairly well used 1994 Hi-Lo 21FLL. I spent time fixing it up and we spent some 28 camping days/nights in it in 2010. One a full week in Louisiana, and a full week in Pigeon Forge, in addition to more than a few long weekenders.

We enjoyed it immensely, but the small size was finally just too much for me having my wife and 2 children along. Just a couple months ago I broke down and found two great deals. A 2003 F350 Super Duty Super Crew Cab with long bed, 20k 5th wheel hitch, 6.8 liter V10, 4.30 SRW rear drive. It is a one owner with all records and beautiful condition.

Not long after, I was fortunate to spot a well cared for 2002 35 foot Carriage Cameo 5th Wheel with 3 slideouts. Now I have the private bath/bedroom I wanted and huge living space.

The Hi-Lo is going to a new home as a starter unit for new campers. We enjoyed it more than enough to know I wouldn't regret moving on to a 5th wheel coach. Enjoy your Hi-Lo's and your camping experiences. It has been a privilege and pleasure to have interacted with folks here this past season. :)

I'm glad you found the unit that will match your needs, it sounds super. Don't abandon the Hi-Lo forum. There is always room for the sharing of experience and knowledge of travel trailers. I'm sure you have thoughts to share and can still get your questions answered here.

Good Luck with the new 5th wheel. :)
