I agree with what the others say about walking on the roof; do so only if necessary. Two years ago I had our HiLo detailed and the guy [who was not big at all] did a super job cleaning the roof, but, he walked all over it and used a mop and soap & water from a bucket, and tap water from a hose to rinse it off. In so doing, he also cleaned off years of crud that had built up. A month later, we took our HiLo on a trip to Oklahoma and were in a heavy snow storm. When we got back home, and prepared to winterize it, I discovered that we had a leak in the storage bins above the tilt-out.
There are several posts on the forum that detailed what I and others have done to repair the roof. When you do get your roof clean, I would strongly advise that you look it over very carefully and see if you notice small spots of metal rot [electrolysis caused by two dissimilar metals touching]. IF you do see them, then you should search "roof repair" on this forum to determine what you must do.
