Default Connecting 12 Volt hot wire from truck to new converter

We have a 2009, 19' HiLo that had a failure of the original converter. We replaced it with a Boondocker 30 Amp, Model: BC-1245-PC converter. Also on the label is AC Panel Board Class CTL Type 1.

Miraculously, the wires all transferred successfully and everything works, 110 volts when plugged in, 12 volts otherwise, battery charges when plugged in...... One item that we couldn't figure out was where to connect the 12 volt line from the truck so that the battery could charge, or refrigerator run on 12 volts while traveling. Any help or suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

J Landon

Have a look at this thread: https://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f51...ry-wiring-116/, Post #10. It shows how my trailer's wiring to the points you asked about is installed. Since your trailer is only 2 years newer, it should be wired the same.

Around Pg. 24 of the PDF of the owner's manual, there is a crude wiring diagram. This is the 2008 manual but should be the same.
