Default Damaged HiLo - advice please...

Hi Everyone,

I apologize that this is my first post. I've been looking forward to taking possession of a 24' HiLo this summer and getting more involved in the group. The HiLo has been in the family for about a decade and I've been told it's mine if I want it. Today I saw it for the first time in quite a while.

I was told it had some water damage from a previously leaking roof (roof was replaced so it 'should' be tight again) and that had caused some interior roof damage that I'd probably want to deal with. Now that I see it, I could use some thoughts from more experienced eyes on what I'm getting into here. I really like HiLo's, looking at this makes me a little gun-shy:

Wavy sides:

Worst part of the ceiling near the rear - but not the only spot of damage:

Rear wall beneath the mirror in bathroom, showing the interior of the "belt line":

I was aware of the roof probably needing some redo on the inside, the walls and the "belt line" (or whatever that is called where the cables attach) looks much worse than I anticipated. I'm thinking this is going to be a total tear-down with walls off both inside and out and ceiling down too. Probably even new metal work on that belt line? I was also told the front window is leaking too ...

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, and patience with a newbie like me. The biggest thing going for it is that it's free to me and everything supposedly works.

Also in the garage, some stuff to pull it:
1999 3/4 ton 'Burb
1993 Roadmaster wagon (well, it probably won't pull it)

Looks like you got yourself into the same thing I have. I just purchased a 25' with water damaged walls and roof.
My post is here

The roof does not bother me, my biggest concern is tearing off the RFP/Filon and putting it back on. At 25' that is going to be a HUGE PITA.

Good luck!
