Default Exit window leakage

We recently purchased a used 2007 19' Hi-Lo and took our maiden voyage to see how everything worked. During this trip, we encountered a night of heavy rain with winds. The "exit" window over the sink was leaking between the lower lip of the window frame and the window. The two red locking taps were closed tight, however you could run a pipe cleaner between the lower window edge and the window frame on the exterior side of the window.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what did you do to rectify the problem.

New Hi-Lo'er,

Dale

Default Exit window leakage

We had a leak at our exit window on our 1990 25ft. Classic. Do a search on a back post that I did on resealing windows. You will have to take the window out and reseal the rim with 2inch butyl tape. You will also need Lexal caulk. Can't remember maybe we used some other weather stripping besides the butyl tape. Could have used spray expanding insulation. I have a can of this product called leak seal(bought at Walmart. Do the butyl tape first then caulk. Possibly supplement with the spray leak seal. While you have the window out you will be able to see the condition of your interior wall. Possibly all your windows need to be taken out and resealed as your HiLO is seven yrs. When your window leaks it may already have caused wall damage. You tube has a video on resealing a window.

Default exit window leaking

Did a little searching: 3-30-2012 HiLo dealer visit. Follow the many posts of windows removal/sealing.7-31-2012 removed window for resealing. 6-10-2014 Wall damage with my Photo bucket link. It has pictures of when we resealed/took out our exit window. You can do this it is a DIY job.
