Having fun with my funchaser traveling...... I ran out of water rather early I thought and looked at the tank area underneath. Which is in front... Did they have "belly's" in the angle iron supporting the tank..... Mine has and I wonder if the pickup just couldn;t get it all out. I have a 22 ft Fun chaser
Any thoughts? The angle iron seemed rather thin.....

You could try opening the drain cock on your fresh water tank to see how much is left in there (located ,on most, on the front curbside of the tank). Otherwise- you may just be using more than you think especially if you are using the toilet a lot. My trailer is parked far enough away that I don't have access to check the shape of the tank right now- though I recall it being relatively level on the bottom.

Hi,
My tank sits inside a plastic pan similar to the box that holds the lift pump and battery. Yes the support straps seem a little weak, definitely not going to haul water around in it.
I also noticed that after adding 3 gallons of RV antifreeze (two gallons spec'd in the OM) that the pump was sucking some air making me think the tank bottom has sagged some and the pick up doesn't reach the bottom. I think I will pick up a couple of more gallons.

If you spend the money for the extra antifreeze on a winterizing connection you don't need to put antifreeze in the tank. You can do the whole job with as little as a gallon.

My new (to me) 2408 has this, as well as a water heater bypass from the factory. It also has drains on the tank, as well as a couple on the lines. After draining everything the pump used about 1 1/4 gallons of antifreeze to go through the whole system.

Incidentally, I just bought a small brass gate valve along with a bushing and close nipple. I'm going to install the valve in lieu of the threaded drain plug on the water heater. I have a similar setup on my boat's water heater and it makes draining it fast and easy.

Yep! It makes things much easier and less expensive. Hopefully you have the water heater bypass as well. You don't want to be putting antifreeze in the WH, it's not good for it.

I discovered I had this also after trying to pump 2 1/2 gallons from the tank. Very easy indeed right out of the jug.

yes to everyone else. Definitely install/use bypass kit. Also, if you are having issues emptying your tank, or even if you are not, you will want to SANITIZE it at least once a year and, especially, if you have added antifreeze to it. RV stuff is not designed to be as poisonous as auto----but still not something you'll be real crazy about ingesting....so make sure you get it cleared out by draining and then going through the sanitizing steps. You can check your owner's manual for procedure or search the forum. BAsically, add bleach to water supply ( check ratio) and drive around for awhile and then drain. then fill and rinse a couple of times with fresh water.
