Default Gray water capacity?

Anyone know the size of the Gray water holding tank on my 2001 24TD? It filled up after 2 days and 2 quick, water conserving, showers. Still plenty of room in Black water tank. just curious.

Thanks

Should be 30 or 32 gallons. It should in theory be able to hold your entire fresh water tank. Did you notice water pooling up in the botom of the shower or did you go by the monitor system?

The brochure just says 47 gal. combined black and gray. So I guess 23.5 each maybe? It was backing up into the shower. No big deal - where I was I could dump easily.

That sounds like my tank capacities. 30 gal grey water, 17 gal black water. The fresh water tank is 30 gal too, plus 6 gal for the hot water tank.

I didn't answer your first post, because I don't have any information on the 01 models.

My 2693RD has 36 fresh 30 black and 16 gray.
wash the dishes in a tub and dump in the toilet, the fire ring or the dish washing sink at the bath house, it seems to conserve water. I bought a blue tote that I take along. If you want to boondock it will ba a problem though, I'm planning to add another fifteen gallons to mine in a seperate tank, there is room underneath for it.

Vanooch: Maybe a pump to move gray water to black tank since black is bigger than gray.

I think that it will be just as easy to add the tank as an "expansion tank", I haven't pursued the venting yet but I don't think that it will be a problem, I'll tap into the 2" before the knife valve. I may even just run the kitchen to it, that would solve the venting problem as well. Honestly though if you are creative in conserving water, the 16 gallons that I have lasts us up to 4 days. Most of the time we are in a state park so there is usually a dump site and with a 30 gallon tote I can empty the tank almost twice before taking it to the dump station. I plan to enclose and heat the tanks eventually and I want to have everything installed before then so I may just have to pull the trigger and install the second tank.
