Unhappy Help!!

So my trailer is in the shop and they are finding all kinds of problems. Apparently it was stripped of some vital parts before I blindly bought it.
They can't find the electrical fuse box. Can anyone tell me where that might be?
It's a 1987 Funchaser.
I have them the printed 1990 manual listed on this site.

All in all its costing me just about as much as I paid for the trailer to get it fixed for camping this weekend

Not a happy camper right now.

My fuse box is under the seat (dinning area) right next to the water heater, what are some of the things they are telling you it needs ?, (typical of a dealer), I am sure for most of us, if we take ours to a dealer they will find everything that it needs and basically they scare the heck out of you, so you will trade it for something else that they want to sell you, if it raise and lowers, and the bearings and brakes are fine, I wouldn't pay attention to what they tell you.

Typically, but not always, the main power box is near where the power cord goes into the trailer.

Both of my AC boxes are in the wall along side the fridge at the floor.

My 96 hi-lo classic has the 120volt panel on the drivers side by the couch. The 12 volt fuses are in the bathroom sink cabinet.

If these are the same folks who told you to replace the hydraulic fluid by pouring it back in---go somewhere else. If they cant locate the fuse panels....honest,get it out of there. Even if somebody had "taken things out" I doubt they removed fuse panels. These trailers ARE NOT that complicated to figure out by anyone with some competence and experience----which you hope a dealer would have.

I will second that any dealer that can't find a fuse box in any brand trailer is one you don't want working on your trailer.

Our 1989 22' Funchaser's electrical box is between the fridge and sofa. Our sofa is at the very front of the trailer and faces back to the rear restroom/shower. If you sit on the sofa, there is a space between the sofa and the frig on the right. There is a ledge there that the sofa lays down on when you make it into a bed. The electrical box is inside that ledge.

Default electtrical box

1990 25ft. Classic. Our electrical box is located under the driver side sofa bed. You would have to make it a couch and lift up on the strap. This is at the front of the trailer. Sorry you are having such a hard time getting a good repair place. Maybe they are acting dumb because they don't want to work on it?

Maybe they're acting dumb because they are.

SeaGypsy, I know you feel between a rock and a hard place right now. Please understand, you owe nothing to this RV place you took your trailer to. There was no way for you to know they were going to be of no help.

I think you should try to retrieve your trailer and put off camping for a bit while you try to sort things out. It IS possible for things to be made right, and it won't necessarily cost you a fortune. Just take things a step at a time. Try to find some place that others have gone to and can recommend. And, try to investigate some of these problems yourself. Most are not really hard, if you can find some helpful advice online. It's there, just deal with the issues in turn, starting with the easiest ones. As you progress, you'll gain confidence, and expertise.

your 120v ac panel is on the street side between the fridge and sofa almost on the floor, and your 12 v is under the couch inside the left panel on the front of the inverter, it takes the old style glass tube fuses. there might be a cover over the fuses, thats why they can't find them, and if they are not knolegeable to find them, they are not experianced enough to work on any trailer, tell them to go back to bagging groceries and take your beloved hi-lo elswhere!
