I was just given a '93 Hi-Lo and need help. I can't get the roof to raise. I jumped the motor and when I hit the switch it starts to raise about an inch then stops like it is caught on something. I don't have a good manual, or know anyone who has any knowledge of these types of campers. Can anyone help me?

The 95-96 Manual is posted on this forum, your 93 is similar. All years of the hydraulic systems and cable systems are the same or very similar. Check the hydraulic fluid, it should be about an inch down from the top of the tank, when the top is down, use Dextron, also check for broken cables and pulleys. Check the hydraulic cylinder guide rod, it must be straight and heavily greased.

Thanks! The fluid and grease got it moving enough to see that there was a curtain rod wedged between the top and bottom sections, but it's up. It's got water damage down both side walls and the roof is pretty pitted. Looks like I'll have to gut it after I seal the roof. You wouldn't happen to know the best method and materials for sealing the roof would you?
