I have a 1996 Towlite Hi Lo. I have had some damage to say the least.

I need some help I have a broken cable for one. My question is do I raise the camper on leave it down to change? If I have to raise how do I do it?

Thanks any help would be appreciated!!!

Default broken cable

You will need to raise the roof section to change the cable, if you have a hi lift jack you can use it to jack the corner where the cable is broken as you raise the rest of the roof with the lift pump. When lifted I take a 4x4 and use it to block under the roof section where it cable needs to be replace. I replaced mine in about 45 minutes it wasn't that hard.
Hope this help let me know if you need anything else.
Matt

To get the top raised, get a couple of friends to lift the broken cable corner while someone operates the switch to raise it. You will need to place a support under the corner to support the top until the cable is replaced. There are posts on this forum about how to change the cables. Use the search key and type in replacing cables. Good luck with your new project.

Thanks all. I guess I will have to replace the cable support first on the front. I made a new one attach that cable then raise to replace the broken cable. I am very new to this buy jumpin in. I have a deadline of next week lots of work left. Support roted out and front right corner came apart. I will get pictures and show you all.

Thanks for your help!!!!
