Default Hydraulic fluid level?

Been reading on here about checking hydraulic fluid level. My camper is raising fine but I noticed a little fluid last couple of times on what I think is the reservoir. I unscrewed the cap on top of what I believe is the resorvoir and it is very low. Am I looking in the right place? I don't want to add fluid unless I am sure I am checking the right spot.

Fluid level should be within an inch of the top of the reservoir, WHEN THE TOP IS DOWN.
