Default Is your HiLo a Classic or a Towlite?

I'm not asking the above question, but I've seen it come up several times now. My question is ... what's the difference between them?

This is likely wrong but by guessing I'd think:
Classic indicates old/original, IE: like a covered wagon, heavily overbuilt of lumber and wrought iron VS.

Towlight, modern - constructed of Kevlar and space age materials.

Classic is an upscale version of HiLo, Towlite is the economy lightweight model. Look through the brochures in the reference library and you will see.

I noticed that Classics are also a bit wider and taller than similar Towlites. For example, my 2008 24T has a 94" overall width and a a 75.5" interior height. The 2008 25C has a 100" overall width and a 78" interior height. Both have similar interior layouts; but the Classic is a bit more spacious.

Default Can I assume ?

"my 2008 24T has a 94" overall width and a a 75.5" interior height. The 2008 25C ..."

the T in 24T means Towlight and the C in 25C is classic?

If so ... mine is a 2401TD, meaning Towlight and WHAT?
Delightful, despicable, delectable, devastating, etc.
DARNED if anyone knows?

I believe that the "D" means your dinette is in the front of the trailer, and that the "L" means the lounge (couch) is in front.

Default Dinette

I'm not clear on the meaning of dinette as I apparently have dual dinettes?

The very front of the camper has a dinette that makes into the biggest bed and then immediately as you enter the door, towards the larger bed is another smaller dinette that makes into a smaller bed.

The front one would seat 3 (perhaps 4 if good friends) on each side of the table. The smaller one would seat 2 on each cushion.

FYI, the plastic throne only seats one at a time.

Wrascal

I recommend you go to the following link and download the 2000 tow lite brochure. Personally I have had issues with downloading the 2001 brochure but the two years are virtually the same.

Then print it.

Then put it in the bathroom or next to the bed and read it when you get a spare moment---I think you will find a great deal of info that may answer many questions you have. It also may cause you to have MORE questions but that is the price we all pay for knowledge.

You may also want to download an owners manual from the library---I dont recall if you have done that , yet, or not.

Default OK, I've followed your advice

and now browsed thru it. With a couple of items excepted it seemed to me to be JUST sales literature with some nice pics.

NOTE: the pictures lacked the required girls in swim-attire (oh, wrong category, this isn't boating).

I found the charts on dimensions and capacities useful as well as the diagrams of different configurations and floor plans. It also gave me an idea of what others have when I read their posts. Ditto on what came standard and what was optional. Anyway, given some of your posts I thought it might contain some info you might find useful. I guess it depends on how you define " just".

For those of you that have Funlite models, they were a cross between the Classic and the Towlite. They had many of the amenities of the Classic but were built on the Towlite platform.
