Question Left side won't go down

Previous posted a problem with a 2903 bent hydrolic guide rod and left side of camper won't go down. The left side goes down about 1ft then hangs up. 2 of the lift cables at the cylinder go slack (hence left side). Is this caused by the removal of the bent guide rod or do I have a problem with the guides to the top? How do I free up the top?

There could also be the possibility that there is something wedged between the upper and lower walls. A hatch access door could be open and catching on the uper half. Without the guide rod your are leaving yourself open for more serious problems.

Don't free up the rig.
Leave the hydraulic lift alone until you find out what is up with the top not moving and the slack cables.
You are just doing damage at this point.
It is a very easy system to diagnose. No cables should be loose. If the cables are broken, the taught cables are lifting the top crooked and causing damage.

Default Lowering problem

Glad you found the problem. We are all still learning and making some bloopers after many years of ownership.
