Need help - no lights

Wondering if anyone has an idea why all bathroom lights do not work but all others do? Your information is appropriated! Thanks

Well, there could be several reasons. Are there bulbs in the fixtures? If there are, are they perhaps burned out? Are they installed correctly? Is the fuse to that circuit good? Is the wiring to that circuit good?

Halliebear, welcome to the forum. I know my questions may sound like I'm giving you the "idiot treatment", but you're not helping us help you much with your post. As a minimum, it might help to know the year and model of your Hi-Lo.

Have you looked at the electrical diagram for the interior lights? It can be found in this section: Electrical - Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum Don't worry if you can't find your exact model year - there is very little change from year to year, and the wiring is "generic" for all models.

Well honestly I was looking for a response thst would be of some help with a problem but it seems that you must think I am an idiot in your words. Thanks for your response but I am smart enough to have checked the bulbs and fuses and have looked at the diagram before my post!

As Jack said, it would be good if you could tell us what your year and model is because not all models were wired the same. My first thought would be that there is a bad connection somewhere in the circuit. There is a good chance that the lights are hooked to the main wire with wire nuts and one of them came loose somewhere. It could be either a power or a ground wire. You would have to drop each light and pull the wires out to check those connections. A multimeter or a 12 volt test light would come in handy. There could be a bad connection in a light before the bathroom lights. ????

Another option other then checking wire nuts, fuses and bulbs would be take down ceiling panels and run new wire. I would check wire nuts, bulbs and fuses first though.They have 1 yellow wire that runs all lights at each light there are wire nut's.They are run simply from the front to the back. They may have the yellow wire coming up in the center of your RV in that case they would run a yellow wire to the front and one to the rear.They wire nutted each light in. Start at bathroom check your ground. My trailer has each light grounding with a (White wire) If its a single wire setup ( no ground wire) the light must have a good ground, one screw missing on the light could be the one grounding it. Then whats the next closest light. That is were the power for your bathroom comes from. Check for power going to the bathroom light.

Hallie, you asked a question (one that was very poorly worded mind), and provided practically no information for us to go on. Jack replied and was as courteous as possible given the lack of information.

In troubleshooting there's a concept called K.I.S.S. - I'll leave it to you to look it up. In essence it means to start with the basics, and not assume that those basics have been covered. Too often a lot of troubleshooting effort has been expended when another person chimes in and asks something like "are we SURE we're getting power" and it turns out a breaker blew, or a switch was bad, or a kid disconnected an extension cord.

I cut my teeth growing up in auto shops, then worked in IT for 20+ years: being asked "are you SURE you covered the basics" is essential troubleshooting - don't be offended when someone asks, *especially* since you provided zero information about your problem. Good troubleshooting requires such questions get asked - I will *always* expect to be asked that question, as tiresome as it can seem. There's even a methodology (developed by a Japanese engineer) called The Five Why's. Look it up, it's an astoundingly effective technique.

I have a Hi-Lo Classic and have a switch above the toilet that supplies power to the light switches. Hope this helps!!!!!

Loss of power/lights in BR

Consulted with DH and he reminded me of what worked when we lost our lights in our 1990 25ft. Classic. This would be the lights in the BR only. The fuse was bad in our converter/coroded. We also have had experiences where a new fuse looked good but was defective. Hope this helps you. Welcome to the forum.

Hallie I am having the same issue except mine occurred after I installed a new fan. If you happen to figure out what happened please let me know. I have too checked fuses grounds bulbs fixtures and such and no luck.

New member as of earlier today. Need help!

This is not a reply, it is another question on the ceiling lights allover the trailer.

I own a 2010 FunLite that I really like. I appreciate the workmanship put into it. I believe that is the year it was made.

I decided to put the "Old Timer" in its forever home here on the farm.
It will make a very cute weekend Get Away for friends.
I hired a good person to run new heavy underground wire and install the electrical hookup.

Unfortunately, he didn't (really) understand RV trailer wiring... he put a 15 amp receptacle and expected that a "increaser" would bring it up to 30 amps...

Yep, not a good thing... so that played heck with all the electric in the Hilo.

I got the correct receptacle from an electric supply house with a little helpful friendly advice!

He installed it and thank God, all the electric came back on!

Except...for the little lights all over the ceiling in every area....
I attempted to locate the "Fuse Info" in this forum...

Well, lets just say, I'm just too dumb and old to find it.

So, anyone can help me find the fuse box I will VERY MUCH appreciate it!

Welcome to the forum, fellow Texan! Try looking at the bench seat of the dinning room table. It kinda looks like a metal panel over the wood. Do you know your model number? Also, look in the battery box for an inline fuse. Good luck!

I just got my 84 Fun lite about a week ago and have done a lot of maintenance on the outside and lift system. I am just tacking the inside and all I have seen is the breaker box with the 4 breakers in them. Are there actual fuses in these things? If so where would I find such fuses
