Default other than hydraulic lift system

Anyone own or seen a HiLo with a lift system other than hydraulic?

Found a drawing in the 1981 brochure showing a "Mechanical ball screw" assembly for the Funlite.

If they had it, it didn't last long. The 1981 Funchaser owner's manual shows the hydraulic system.

Could you scan that and add it to the reference library?

We have seen a couple of 60s or 70s HiLos that have shown up at the HiLo rally that had a manual crank-up lift system.

Our 1963 has a manual crank up. I think they switched to the hydraulic system in the late 60's or early 70's .

RichR I should have said owners manual not brochure. Is already in the library under owners manuals as "hilo1981.pdf" Drawing is on page 15

Does that pdf look the same as the 81 manual you mentioned?

Default Heard Rumors

After hearing some rumors, I checked on the Trailmanor website and was quite surprised! They are making a model "Rise" that looks like a Towlite. It even has the guide bars on the lower half for raising and lowering. They call their system a "synchronized lift system" with no pulleys. Just push the button. Sound familiar? Guess this came about after the HiLo patents expired and the design was up for grabs.

Yep, that's what shows. I've never heard it mentioned before. The Funlites only had it. Good find!
