Default Our First Hi-Lo Adventure

Hi,

I am very happy to find this forum. We are picking up our first Hi-Lo Sunday. Hopefully we'll make it to our lake lot an hour east of purchase location. We're not planning to move it once at the lake - it will be used as a tiny cabin since we only use the lot as a campground. Current owner says roof leaks are fixed, but we'll see. We're going to start with a good cleaning and go from there.

I can't wait to get started. This is a 1970 camper in ??? condition, and we're paying $1500 for it. I figure it's cheaper than building a cabin + no permits or property taxes.

This is a constant level spring fed lake, so there usually aren't problems unless the community is draining the lake to clean it out or work on the dam. Water levels aren't great at the big DFW lakes. Granbury is in bad shape. Our lake is in Van Zandt County near the Henderson line.

Thank you for the welcomes. We got it moved to the property, but we need to clear some stumps and small trees to get it where we want it. There is no power or water out there yet, so we're going to have to take things one step at a time. I just posted a question about toilets, which is our first project.

We've decided to try to have this baby up and running in the next 12 months by knocking out the projects one step at a time.
