Default Replacing blinds

Got ambitious today and washed the six blinds in the HiLo. These aluminum blinds were embarrassingly filthy. Probable last washed 12 yrs ago. They have been through two extensive remodels and years of bad seals that let in plenty of dirt. I now have custom blinds as all of them have lost the alabaster color in spots. The blinds are quite speckled with silver areas where the original coating has worn off. DH wants to replace with more blinds. I would like to replace with shades. Just starting to look on the internet. They are quite shabby looking after being 23yrs. old. The new Georgia Pacific paneling looks nice and I need a window treatment upgrade. The original window tie back curtains are fine. Each time I wash them on delicate. I will look at HD and Lowes for ideas. Any suggestions welcome.
