It's been a while since anyone posted a HiLo sighting, but I saw one Monday as I was driving north out of Strawberry to get my second cataract surgery at Flagstaff, AZ.

The HiLo was coming down off the Mogollon Rim (Colorado Plateau) headed south toward Payson at about 11:30 AM Monday. Hope your trip has been enjoyable and sorry I was not able to have a chat with you.

Jack,

I thought at first it was my HiLo you spotted coming down to Payson last Monday. I guess my unit (1988 22ft Funchaser) was the second unit in the area as I was driving down from Show Low to Payson/Phoenix Monday afternoon :)

We spent a great week up around Alpine, AZ at 8500 ft. It got cool enough that we had the heating on one evening which surprised us for Mid August..

Regards,
Peter

HiLo sightings

I have our HiLo packed with everything from shorts to tee shirts. Then long pants and winter jackets. I have had to turn the furnice on at Allegany State Park. It dipped to 40* in Auguist.

It wouldn't have been you, Peter. This one had to be coming from Camp Verde or Flagstaff. Those are the closest significant towns and are the ones that are north or west of Strawberry. You probably came into Payson on Hwy 260 from the east. Glad you had an enjoyable (and cool) trip.

We just got back from a 3k mile round trip (Sacramento > Yellowstone > Mt Rushmore > Salt Lake City > Sacramento) and only saw one HiLo - in a driveway about a 1/4 mile off the north side of Hwy 16A on the eastern edge of Custer SD.

Also saw a TrailManor coming into the Grant campground in Yellowstone as we were leaving - looked to be maybe 15 years old, probably about a 25 footer.
