Default Trailer top won't go down

We bought a HI-Lo trailer, but have never used it. We got the top to go up, but can't figure out how to get the top to go down again. It only drops about 1 inch and stops. The manuals we received from the seller did not include a basic description of how to operate the trailer. Lynn c_lmortensen@yahoo.com or 650 321-5161

It sounds like the safety bar is engaged. First raise the top a bit. Then pull on the cable that is close to the up/down switch; it should move an inch or so. As you pull on the cable, press the down switch. After the top goes down a few inches you can release the cable and continue pressing the switch until it is fully down.

Thank you Mr. Rider. It worked. We just didn't know what that wire was for and the trailer did not come with an owners manual.

When I purchased my HiLo I too was perplexed (no directions for anything). What I did eventually find - and was quite helpful - was YouTube. Once I joined this site I found/saved this shortcut so I could easily return there.

Go to this link: http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f49/...-youtube-1233/ then go down to message #3. Then click freely.

As I recall most videos run about 2 min.
