Default Vent Cover 1708T

Hi,

I have a 2008 1708T HiLo Camper. I'm trying to replace the vent dome cover in the back. Does anyone know what type to get for this? I've looked at AmericanRVCompany.com and I'm not sure if it's the new model BVD0449-A01 or old style? If these are correct? I will be going to my camper in a couple weeks and would like to order this beforehand.

Thanks!

I think you're talking about the cover over the fan over the "kitchen"? I replaced my whole thing (in my 1707T) with a Fantastic Vent Fan. It's a "standard" size and was pretty simple to replace. I think replacing just the cover would be dead simple.

The cover MAY have a plastic insert that can be cut if it's too deep. My new fan had this and trimming was expected.

I did the same as Jackand Janet. The piece you need to trim is a trim piece for inside the trailer. My 2002 used a different style of trim piece so I couldn't re-use the old one. I really like the fantastic fan though and paid about $115 through amazon for their cheapest.

Default Vent cover

I,m thinking these towlite owners gave you good advice. I have a Classic. Every time I need a vent cover I take the old one off and then go to my RV dealer. It is very easy to get confused as to the correct style. You can always cover and tape a trash bag over the hole in case of rain.
