Default VIN Location

Good Morning. Hate to sound like a broken record, however I will give it one more try.

Still looking for location of a complete VIN on my 1994 Funchasher. Located the last five digits of the VIN stamped into the frame on passenger side behind propane tanks and a complete VIN on a sticker on lower body in front on passenger side. My problem is that the Sate of New Mexico will not give me a new title/registration without a complete VIN located in two (2) different locations on the trailer.

Any information would be certainly be apppreciated. Thank You in advanced.

Will from New Mexico!

Default Maybe one of these ...

Amazon.com: 27 Piece Alphabet Letters A-Z Punch Set For Stamping Metal 1/8 Inch 3mm (1 Set): Explore similar items (or something similar) AND a hammer would work for you?

NOTE: Be sure and use a quality hammer as you don't want to throw any sparks and disturb the electronic flux <GRIN>.

Default Call J&R Repair

If these people don't know where to find it nobody else does. They know where every nut and bolt is. Home - JR REPAIR

I must add that J&R is in the process of moving to a new facility so getting in touch with them may be a little difficult, just keep trying.

Adding or altering a VIN is against the law in most states. Moreover, I believe that it is against federal law.

bryanw47: Most states have a procedure for titling vehicles with no VIN, missing VIN, etc. It usually requires an inspection, and some form or affidavit. Many states will then issue a special VIN with a permanent plate that gets attached to the vehicle. You may need to call your licensing department and be persistent.

Default VIN number

On our 1997 Tow Lite, there was a VIN number sticker on the inside of the cabinet door under the kitchen sink.

We also have the same sticker on our 2006.

That may be so, I don't know, but ... I look at it as such: his stamping it with the correct VIN is not being deceitful in any way.

Didn't some companies once etch the VIN numbers onto car windows (as a theft deterent)? Same idea.

Default hi lo 1965 vin location

Help needed locating the VIN plate or stamping on my 1965 (antique} Hi Lo. Im in the process of restoring the interior of the trailer for the second time after sitting in the weather for 10 years. Retired now and just starting a new project. Hydraulic cylinder works and all other mechanicals are solid.

I wonder, if you're restoring a trailer significantly and can't find the VIN, could it be registered as a "homebuilt"?

Default Just a thought

Maybe a magnifying glass would help you see the vin on the square plate.
