Default What amp is my Hi-Lo

I purchased a used 1996 Hi-Lo this past November. Love it. It does not have a owner's manual, so I am learning things by trial and error. My wife and I just finsihed a 5,000 round trip with it. Did not need to use the A/C, but I have a question. A lot of sites offer both 50 and 30 amp service. What do I have? Thanks

Default what amp

Your trailer is equiped with a 30 amp sevice.

The 50 amp is a 220 volt plug used by large motor homes or realy big 5th wheels usually they will have 2 a/c's or a washer dryer in the unit.

the 30 amp plug has 3 prongs in a crow's foot pattern and the 50 amp has 4 prongs.

This might also be a good time for you to locate your AC/DC power converter. It is labeled with your amp rating, and is also where you will find some of your fuses. It is good to have the right spare fuses.

I second Firemarshals tip on carrying fuses. They tend to blow at the most inopportune times.

Again, I know this is an old thread but just to be clear, a 50 amp plug has 2 110 volt legs but I have not run into a production camper or motor home yet that uses 220 volts. The two legs are kept separate. This is why you can purchase a 50 amp to 30 amp converter plug and plug your rig into 50 amp service. There are a lot of campers (even pull behind travel trailers) that have 50 amp service now.
