We recently purchased a 2000 17ft HiLo trailer, and it works very well (mostly). A couple of issues I am dealing with now are;
1) There are problems with both the wheels and the tires. The wheels have negative offset, so the tires are very close to rubbing on the outer body of the trailer. The tire problem is because of the size of the tires (205/75R15) , which makes it impossible to remove or install a tire without removing pressure from the tire. My solution for the wheel offset is simple, just buy replacement wheels with no offset. Regarding the tire problem, I do not know how to solve this? I researched several brands of tire, and some of them ar slightly thinner, but the thinnest one (Kenda Loadstar K550) does not seem to be readily available, and even this tire is only .3" less in width than the current tires (assuming all the data from various sources is directly compariable. If anyone has had a similar experience, or any suggestions how to solve, please let me know?
2) The Air Conditioning problem is simple, the fix does not seem to be. The AirCon does not run, and I traced this to no power on the romex that comes into the unit. The other end of this same wire does have power , so there must be a break somewhere in the wire. Does anyone know the route that this wire takes between breaker and AirCon, especially the route between the lower and uppper body sections?
Thanks and Best Regards
Nathan
