EAZ Lift Sway Bar
Wondering is anyone uses this type of sway bar and can tell me the proper way to adjust it. The previous owner of my trailer was not sure how to adjust it.
I didn't feel the need to use it previously until our last trip through Nevada when we experienced high winds. I had brought it along so pulled over and installed it but don't think I adjusted it properly as I was still getting some sway. Any insight would be appreciated!

Sway control
Lucky, I'm no pro about this, but I used mine as instructed by the previous owner. Just for safety. Once installed, you adjust the friction but NOT TOO tight, it must have SOME freedom. Yours has an adjuster that when proper adjustment is achieved, you simply turn it on or off with the lever. It is trial and error until you feel no sway. Then note where the adj knob is, keep it there and use the lever. Big note: I was told to remove this sway bar before backing as radical turns can bend it, rendering it useless. That's about all I know about it.

I do have the ezlift sway bar, and ez lift spring arms and hitch on my trlr.
When the sway bar is properly mounted to the balls on the frame and hitch you just crank down the adjust arm until very tight. YOU will not be able to move the sway bar, in or out, while tightened, but the weight of your vehicle will easily be able to move it.
For safety.....If while driving you encounter icy or slick conditions release the tension on the adjust arm to near zero pressure. Obviously reduce your speed.
I have put more than 30K miles on mine and have had no issues with sway while on tow.
Nevada and Wyoming are the 2 most windy states I have traveled. Long hills and much wind. Add some altitude to the mix and things slow down!

Thanks, Tree! I had also heard somewhere that it should be removed before backing so I'll make sure I do that in the future.

Thanks, Steve! Good to hear from an owner with mucho experience using this product. Even though I was going pretty slow in Nevada (55-60 mph) I still got some sway. Now that I know how to adjust it, I'll use it all the time. Haven't made it to Wyoming yet with HiLola but you aren't kidding about the wind and hills in Nevada! BTW, is it possible to overtighten the adjustment arm?

Do not lubricate the slide bar on this style sway control.

When I tighten mine I take it until I can only get 1/2 turn more.
Very tight.
as was stated NO lubricant.
Think of it as a disc brake pad.
