Do you need jacks and stabilizers on a trailer?
Thanks

No, but........ The trailer has suspension locating the axles and as you walk in the trailer, the suspension bounces and the whole trailer will move around and make noise. When you have stabilizers solidly down, the trailer is much more stabile and quiet. The stabilizers are only used for stability, not for leveling the trailer which should only be done by leveling the wheels side to side then using the tongue jack to level front to back. Stabilizers should just make contact with the ground.

I noticed while in the rear bed that I could feel movement as my dh & dd moved around the front end even with the stabilizers / jacks. Is there any way to stop that?

Chock stabilizer needed
You need what is called a chock stabilizer between the two tires on each side. Also if you have to use lynx levelers unders the tires to get the trailer level to operate your refrigerator this will help firm up the trailer from movement. I will try to go to my HiLo tomorrow and take some pictures and post.

We just purchased this deluxe chock & lock system.
We are hoping it will stop the rocking motion when we walk in the trailer. We are noticing a lot of trailer movement even with the jacks down.

Just got a flier from camping world today and the chock stabilizers are on sale plus shipping. I still would check the internet to make sure you get the best price.

stabilizers & jacks are one in the same, their called stabilizer jacks.you first level the trailer, then chock the wheels ( for front to back stability )then lower the stabilizer jacks snug to the ground to steady side to side camper movement.
