jack I may have lucked out big time. I used that epoxy appliance paint on it the first time I painted it. I tried wire brush on drill, I hit with a hammer, and a wrench, it didn't even scratch it or touch it, or put a dent in it. the wire wheel did nothing to it, nor did smacking it with a hammer or wrench ,it didn't chip at all. that's some tuff paint there. first time I ever used it. it must have cured out real good since the summer time. there is no urethane on it either. lol

here is my back camo curtains
my back camo drapes, and my last nights roast leg of lamb, they gave me a 20.00 leg of lamb at the food bank last month. before that they gave me like 3 small lamb steaks. the roast is for gyros tonight lol thanks out to sam, what a wonderful nice, nice woman. got tomatoes, salad mix, ranch, 3 cheese, red onion, pita bread, and rice crispies.
rice crispies don't go on the gyro's tho lol
for my gyros tonight lol
I started to sand the walls to restain and urethane all my walls inside the whole bottom box and cupboards,, and all. and my vibrating sander belt broke. didn't have anymore go figure. I was running it from my power inverter too it handled it well. evidently I had my 120 or my 12v wired wrong to my 12v switch, glad I tested it with 12 vdc first. haven't looked at it real close yet here I didn't mess up just got confused lol

Repairs
Glad you enjoyed your birthday suprise. Don't you hate that when you are motivated to do a project and then you run out of sandpaper. I live ten minutes from a hardware store. We are always at Walmart or taking DD or picking her up from HD.

Prayers appreciated
Monday April 10th is my left knee replacement surgery at 8Am. Three days in the hospital and then 7to10 days in the Nursing home for Rehab. I can't take my laptop as it would get stolen. It has been a long year and a half trying to pass my physical for surgery. I don't understand why I kept flunking one test. I've learned that good always comes out of bad situations. The antibiotics I had to take took most of the left arm bursitus pain away. Any way see you when I get back.

well camo curtains in front
ya gotta have them in the back too. right? lol
hi jack and everyone!
I figured out today I had everything wired right. I got confused that my 12vdc has nothing to do with the green 12vdc. except to plug it in to wall outlet. switches and plugs work the way they should on 12vdc.they run off my solar 750 watt inverter and battery. and the dimmer works too off of it. I put a lot of wire on the halogen fixtures inside the cupboards on rollers. and it comes off the cupboard for a trouble lamp also, and goes the length of the camper. or they will when I get them installed, there will be 2, one on each side of my back bed area, above dining area. I can change from led to halogen with different wattages on either/any 12v fixtures, also and differnet spots or floods and angles. haven't even started on my resessed ceiling ones i'm putting in. next will be the burglar alarm after I stain all the seats and cupboards. I got all the glue off the bottom of the cabinet too.

Great work Mike! Personally, I'd ditch the halogens and stick with LEDs. Much more light per Watt of power consumed.

yes you are right! also jack even CFL are great the 5 watters.
halogens melt the wires even with ceramic sockets, also, and more, get,way to hot. you are even supposed to use ceramic wire nuts with those. lol
I will just use them as needed, and outside. thing is I bought almost all mr 16"S gu3.5 halogens, can't really ditch like as many as I have. lol if I stay low wattage on those I will be fine. its the 50 to 75 watters that cause the problems. not the 25 -35's.
now to sand rust off and repaint my inside steel header for awning. don't want it there anyways. I ain't having a darn awning. reinforces the top I guess tho.
guess what? no leaks no more. if it is. it is real small. I sanded the 1 back seat yest and today. that will be a project I cant do till arms and shoulders heal. and it warms up up here in snow hilo.
my oncologist wants to see me, and wound care wants me to make app. with ortho surgeon and see me in 2 weeks,. have to go to get prosthesis adjusted, I am wearing my old I and still cant walk right. got new one /2 months ago cant use.
I got this thing/will have it so tricked out now, it's unreal lol. I am very proud of what all I have done to it so far.
if I sell it, it will prolly burn up w/o instruction manual. to new buyer. lol lol all my electric work is top notch tho I been doing that ,and rebuilding machines for 31 yrs. I have certificates in hydraulics also, a 2 yr degree in comp science, and 3 diplomas from Cincinnati Milicron and Van Dorn Demag.

Here's my toilet i am installing.
looks like she's gonna fit great w/o riser. I guess depends how thick yer *** is LOL it comes up from floor 17" that lets the plywood door close on the compartment. also I fixed my 2 wheeler and handle actually came out to make it into a 4 wheeled cart I didn't know that's. I just put 3 new bolts in bottom. and gonna add some ,bigger rubber tires to it. then bolt generator onto it. I got mag switch for burglar alarm to run off my 12v and I ran 3 wire 12 awg , its submersible sump pump wire I got 44 feet of that, color coded 1 piece, and a 50 foot, 12 awg lightwd end extension cord, delivered from a dude off CL both for 10 bucks to me. lol I ran the submersible 3 wire down the bottom top side to the back window, from the battery box up front to under the rear window for another solar panel, or 120 plug which ever I want to use at the time.

just ordered this for my shelter
already have the 20 watt epoxy looks like a window shade. so that will give me 70 watts on a group 29 deep cycle battery 100 amphr. with 20amphr reserve. I also have the 30 amp pwc charge controller hooked up to the 20 watt now. like I said I had 45 watts before, with the 3 amp charge controller and ran 2 lights,, and tv all night,, and all day for 2 days. just on that. 45 watt kit it was a harbor freight kit I had. I got it new for $100.00 shipped to the house back then last spring. what I liked was the digital controller with voltage display, and the cig plug and the 2 big plugs and it charged USB. also had a plug to go right into the converter.
I bought a cheap voltage display fo4r this setup, 1st one broke in a week, ya get what ya pay for, and I also am putting in a regular amp probe, older black clamp on style for monitoring all of it, the harbor freight kit is excellent they are a good starter learning kit. I got several books to learn from also recently about installation and hook ups.

well got my new panel
I got my new 50 watt panel today to go with my 20 watter. this thing is big and heavy. 12lbs. that's a majic marker on the bottom to show how big it is.
I like the epoxy one better. its like a window shade. they do make the epoxy ones in a higher wattage also. I saw on CL due has like new 300 watt panels for sale for $240.00 each. that I wish I could afford one of them. I guess I am gonna make a removable bracket for roof top for this. to big for my windows, LOL I don't know how to use a tape measure.
I have the pvc frame from older ones I can modify to put this on the roof when I get parked
oh well, now I got 70 watts.

Wow, what a "restore" project - well done!
It's creative engineering meets frugality. Keep on maestro, you've got an impressive build going on.
PS - I dig the camo. Not what I would have on my own, but I think it looks cool. Wife and I went to Camper World the other day, they had a BRAND NEW camper painted in Army green (with the Army Star on front). Clearly it's a popular style these days...

wow thank you so much! that means a lot to me to have people say that after what I have been thru the past 2 yrs and what I have done with the camper. I get discouraged a lot now tho. I am glad you like the camo. I wish more people would tell me should it stay or go? LOL I installed a track lite converted fixture beside green box on the brown cupboard few days ago. I go and do sit down jobs now. lol. now I cant walk. I don't have a leg to fit. 12vdc 35 watt halogen and it rotates and swivels 360 deg, lites the whole camper like the sun. thank you from the bottom of my heart!~ nice to meet you. mike ps wait till you see what I have planned and when its done lol lack of funds makes me have to improvise, but I have done good so far. I have so many cool engineering ideas I am going to make it really tricked out. yeah I love the dark green army camo. hey it's easy to touch up costs a buck. lmao

To Whomever wants or needs
weeks ago I picked up a lot of brand new equipment an electrician here down the road was throwing out when he got done with jobs.. he actually came to my house incognito , he saw it all, my listings on Craig's List and came here and asked me about all the stuff where I got it. etc. said he was gonna go to bank get 20 bucks for all of it, he never returned. he asked how long I was an electrician for. and stuff. lol
he didn't realize he was throwing away good money. in his trash can every night. I would stop, and 2 trash cans were full of brand new electrical items. he didn't use for home builds.. I got like 30 switches,30outlets, single pole, double pole, lots of single throws. mostly all tan left in plugs and switches weren't to many white ones. phone jacks, covers, cable inlets, and covers, etc.
12-14 male, female plugs in box, they are all gone from making ext. cords. everything was/is NIB , like 20 spools of left over wire, diff gauge/color wire. its all gone tho, every kind of box cover you could imagine, like 10-15 of them each. I was getting 1/2 inch round aluminum insulated wire 10-15 ft at a time. it was like the day after that there was no more stuff in his trash cans at all. I saw another dude picking thru it, like I was a few times during the weeks b4 this, after I discovered it. I kept having to beat him to it in the mornings, LOL
I still have lots of it ,I will send just for shipping. had it all on CL.
This ain't no scam I am a very honest man. I try to help people now, and always did b4 now that I survived stage 4 cancer, I realized what life is all about. it's all about how you have treated other people in the past and in the end. that's all it comes down to. it's all that will matter when you think you are dying! thanks mike

One mans trash is another mans treasure
My neighbor had a roll in bath remodel done with a contractor. We always mowed her lawn and saw the mess on her deck. We cleaned it all up and DH got a few things. Then DH donated the rest to a program that has apts. for the elderly/disabled. DH former boss was thrilled. You can donate anything extra any time. Hate to see usable things go to waste.
