1967 Voyager stored since 1968 P1010737.jpg

Buzz,
What's the story with this gem? Looks like it just left the factory! Wish those racks on the top had been standard equipment. Jim

1967 voyager

We bought this from an estate. The grandfather bought it new in 1967 to pull behind his 1967 pontiac boneville. They camped in it 3 times that year parked it in the garage and never used it again. All the sales brochures and original sales reciept were in the camper. The canoe rack was an option but was never used. The interior was not to our likeing so we are in the process of a remodel. It still has the original bias ply tires and since it was kept inside they arent even weather checked. I will try to download more pics and the sales brochure and owners manuel. But I,m pretty much computer stupid. Oh the original price was $1635.00.

Please - the tires are totally shot. DO NOT use them. Tire rubber is not designed to last a long time, especially in trailer tires. (Even if stored inside.)

Give me some credit I don,t plan on using them.

Sorry, I was reacting to this statement of yours: "It still has the original bias ply tires and since it was kept inside they arent even weather checked."

Glad you know better. But actually, Buzz, since you're new here, I had no idea how much credit to give you! ;)

can you put those online i'm going to look at a 68 tomorrow and will most likely bring it home. it does not have any print material with it. would love to get a copy of those out of the library if you would post them.

Oh an ddo you have any pics of the interior? I would love to see them and can show you mine.

FHILO,

If your looking for pictures of the inside of the 1967 Bon Voyage that we had, sadly I have none. Odd since I took photos of everything in those days.

As far as pictures of the inside of our 1969 Bon Voyage, I've posted an album on this site that shows the original interior and the redo we did in 2004. Click on my name and go to my public profile page. You'll see the albums listed there on the upper right side.

Hope this helps,
Jim

Hi, i just bought a 1968 Voyager and wondering if u ever got an owners manal cause mine didn't come with one. Let me know if u come accross anything. Thanks

Do you still have that owners manuel or can you tell me where to look for one for a 1968 hilo?

Mariflor - I just checked page by page, and the manual in the library for the 2009 models: http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f49/owners-manual-2009-hi-lo-1-a-803/ is identical to the manual I have with two exceptions:
1. The 2009 manual contains a section for the TV/CD/DVD player that was an optional feature in 2007 and my manual does not have this section.

2. The 2009 manual shows weight specifications for the 1509T, and omits weight specs for the 2307T. All the other lengths are shown, but there are differences in the hitch weights for the 19', 25' and 28' trailers. The hitch weight for the 1907T is 390#, the 2507C is 720# and the 2807C is 960#. ALL of the other weight specs for the 2009 and 2007 models are identical.

So, I think you actually have a "better" manual in the 2009 version. Except for what I just described, the text and figures are identical to those in the 2007 manual.
