Took the beast in today to get new shoes. I went with the carlisles. Hopefully they won't give me any problems. I opted to stay with the 205/75 15s. Fingers crossed

Get a "good" tire pressure gauge and keep checking the pressure often. A dial type gauge is best. Under inflation is a big tire killer of tires.
