I'm putting together a vigil for this evening, beginning at 6PM EST/ 5PM CST. The purpose is to stare down TS Karen. Join in the fun and let her know we Ain't Skeered!

BYOB.

I will be watching from afar here in PA. Let's hope it fizzles out.

I didn't think you gulf coasters were afraid of a little wind and rain.
I would suggest eyeing down the storm, several miles from the coast.
Keep your eyes to the sky, for a twister may make your life interesting. Just ask Dorothy and Toto!

renoites,

We are not coasters but we are heading to Rockport, Texas in [3] weeks for the month of November and we are looking forward to some rain [we are desperately dry here in the Hill Country] but no hurricanes, please.

and that is exactly the problem, we're Not Skeered.
We have so many storm warnings, Hurricane/tornado Warnings, Flash flood and Rip current warnings that we've grown tired of them, leading us to ignore the warnings.

One day we'll get bit by this attitude.

Bring it on, Karen.

Looks like you skeered it good. It just kind of dried up and fizzled out. GOOD JOB. Next time we get an LKE or KATRINA, you'll be the first one we call to skeer it away. Me, I'm headin' for the hill country and my farm.

Have a good one

Bear :D
