Camping this Memorial Day weekend
Just for the heck of it I checked all the NYS campgrounds to see if anyone had a vacancy. All seem to be full. I have been camping in state parks on a special event time and the full sign was up even though sites were available. Anyway is anyone going camping this holiday weekend? I will probably get a chance to hangout at my HiLo some as the temperature is going to be in the 70s.

Going camping Memorial day weekend
Our weather is predicted to be pretty good. Just a chance of rain on saturday. Hubby is over at the HiLo now doing the last of the preventive mainteniance. He is installing some new trim around the exterior door. The white trim has black spots of mold on it. Should look good with a new face lift!!

Stayin' Home
We're stayin' home this weekend and workin' on the old gal-finish new carpet, installing back-up lights, cleaning, etc. High 80's in central NM. BTW, are you going to celebrate Independance Day on: A, the weekend before, B, midweek(actual day), or C, The weekend after? Some spots still available for mid week, but I can't find any with electric on either weekend. We're goin' on the 3rd and stayin' until the 5th at Heron/ El Vado Lakes(7400') in Northern NM. Hoping for nice and cool. CAMP ON!

4th of July camping
The fourth of july is in the middle of the week that makes it hard. We'll probably just stay home. DH will have the day off from work(will have to make up hrs.) I'll see how my left shoulder is. The dr. said it is pretty ragged from wear and tear and a lot of inflammation. I hope i am out of pain by then.

Something to think about. I never post in a public forum, where the whole world can see that we are going away. Our house was broken into and robbed and that was in the days before computers were so popular. Our kids told everyone at school and there friends that we were going away, it may have gotten to the right people or they just determined that the house was empty, anyway I take no chances. Telling the neighbors and police that you will be away is good but it doesn't work either as both knew that we were away. Neither can watch 24-7.

Full campgrounds
We just left Table Rock State Park in upper SC. They had posted a sign saying "ALL" sites were reserved for Memorial Day weekend. And added that the two near by state parks were full also. Best time to be home is when everybody else is out driving around.
God Bless
Papa

Dear Popritchie77,
Thanks for the headsup about not telling everbody about our itenerary. Didn't even Snap! I guess it's a good thing Sandy's son still lives with us. His job won't let him camp with us much becuse he works at arena, and he has to work nights, weekends, etc., so he'l be here when we're not, but other mayn not be so lucky. CAMP ON!
