Duh?
Today I came across an elderly gent parked on the side of the road. His sea-doo mounted trailer was laying hitch down, flat on the road. Being a busy body I did a u-ie and parked behind him. He was unsuccessfully struggling to lift the trailer and rotate the jack to support it.
Together we had no problem lifting and dropped it back on the car ball hitch. When I asked what happened he explained that when he went over a bump it came off and rolled several hundred feet. I suggested that something was wrong when he continued that the ball wasn't the correct size AND HE KNEW THAT.
To make things worse, he had safety chains but didn't bother to use them. This time I watched him put the chains on before I went on my merry way.
I did get an invite to ride with him sometime.
