Is this a new noise that you had not heard before which would normally indicate pump wearing out and needing to be replaced. On my 2805C the pump has always been noisy. It is screwed directly to the floor and transmits the noise and vibrations to the inside. I am going to put a small rubber pad under the pump to dampen out the noise.

I had a noisy pump and found that the pipes were up against something that transmitted the vibration. For the rubber pad, if you have an old mouse pad that is made of rubber, that will work well. The thicker the better, or double up two of them.

Shurflo also sells an air chamber to dampen pulsations.

rich r's idea is a good one, just make sure that you use oversize holes and you don't tighten it down too tight.

An after thought, placing some foam pipe insulation in places where pipes contact other objects may also help. I have some scraps that I may try.

I modified the water lines going into and out of my water pump. I used stainless flexible water lines like you would use in your house. With the pump not being "hard plumbed" into the water lines, the vibrations are not transmitted thru the water lines. I had to cut the nipples off the water line fittings so that the stainless lines would screw onto them. This really helped to keep the noise down when the pump was working.
