Default 2001 17ft Hilo won't raise

My Hilo, won't raise I plug it into the outlet lights come on but can't get the lift to lift, I had just out it down and then was going to raise it up cause I was trying to figure out why my ac doesn't work and now I can't get it to raise. From the looks of others on here it could the the hydraulic lift and people were talking about a manual lift? Anyone have a picture of the lift and can show me how to manually do it?
If that's even the problem thanks we just got this camper for my wife and two boys, wanted to go camping slot this summer but seems to just be sitting till I can fix those things now.
The camper will lower with the button and j here a clicking sound when I try to raise it.

'll try and help. Our units are totally different, but here are the things I would look at. I have to presume the switch is in the correct position as you just had it up. I'd go to the solenoids on the pump. Perhaps they need corrosion removal. Clean both the up and down solenoids. On my Hi Lo, the pump AND the manual raise portion are together. I hope you'll see the manual raise handle and the socket, it's about a 3/4" metal pipe. Manual pumping takes a while, but it DOES work. If your problem was hydraulic fluid loss, there would be a lot of fluid under the trailer by the pump OR piston. Let us know what's happening, and we'll go from there.

Just a note though, when the top on mine is down, it covers ALL lower access doors except waste panel (for security I guess) and prevents getting to the battery and pump! I've had to force the batt/pmp drawer open. We need to make electrical contact cleaning a yearly maintenance thing. Jmphare, I hope this info helps, guess everybody is sleeping in today. They'll show up later an help things along.

Hope they find something easy. It's a learning experience. Keep looking at the info provided in this forum, check it out whenever you've the time. Amazing what you'll find. One thread leads to questions which leads to answers. and much of it will apply to you. Like a pre-closing check list. After a few simple repairs, you'll be ready to take on ever more major stuff. Like "re-sealing windows". Almost ALL answers are here! Enjoy camping!

I think, like Tree said, you have either a low battery or corrosion. Manually raise the top enough so that you can attach jumper cables from your tow vehicle's battery to the trailer battery and see if it will raise then.

Far as the A/C goes, maybe breaker popped, hope it's plugged in. With a good multi-meter, check the outlet the A/C is plugged into. Start simple and cheap. Don't replace parts until you know for sure it's the cure. Your J & R RV dealer SHOULD know. Are they familiar with Hi Los? Lots of Hi Lo owners are looking for knowledgeable repairmen. Factory trained are RARE! Let us know how you make out. Folks here may not be responding, but they are looking.
