Default Battery box

I have a broken proplyene tube coming out of my battery box what is it suppose to be hooked up to. I have more broken tubing also. I think one piece is attached to the hydraulic pump. Is this an overflow for the fluid?
Thanks for your help.

I believe that is a fluid return line from the hydraulic cylinder. I have never seen any fluid in the line, i think it in case the fluid gets past the seals in the cylinder.

The broken line is an overflow for the fluid. It is repaired. Yea I didn't have to take it to the shop. Thanks for the help from the forum.

Default connection to hydraulic pump

Hi
When I was repairing the fluid return tube on the hydraulic pump I accidentally threw the hardware away to connect the tube to the hydraulic pump. I need information on the female connector to the pump. Went to Home Depot and I couldn't find what I needed.
I appreciate any help
Thanks

I had better luck with orchard supply hardware for fittings.
My pump has a 3/8 NPT 90 degree elbow to a 3/8 flare fitting on the supply side and 1/2 pex tubing with a barbed fitting on the return side

Would someone please post a pic of the overflow line from the hydraulic pump tank? I threw my away. It had black plastic female fitting that had a hole on one end for the tube to go through. I don't know what it is called or where to find one. Plumbing store don't have it either.

Don't have access to my unit, but the owners manual has a picture of the pump and on the top is a black plastic elbo.

I haven't gone to look at mine, but it appears from the above picture that the tube and fitting are not under pressure. If so, anything (such as a piece of rubber tubing) would work as long as it fit fairly tightly around the plastic tube and the tank fitting.

Lucky Dog posted a good picture of what we think you are referring to. If you haven't tried an Ace or True Value Hardware, you might consider those options. Possibly another option would be to contact Midget Trailer in Ohio. Employee(s) worked for Hi Lo and could possibly help. I remember seeing the name "Monarch" associated with the brand "Dyna Jack", but I 'm not sure internet searches will help.

Looks like Monarch is now owned by Bucher Hydraulics:

Looked at Ace too. I need the part that goes to the hose as in the picture. Does anyone know name or size of part?
Thanks

From the two latest pictures, it looks as though the nut on the tank elbow simply fits over the plastic hose. Possibly, there is a compression sleeve that goes over the hose, similar to the type that are used to connect a copper water line to the icemaker in a refrigerator.

If I'm right, the black nut in that last picture will simply unscrew and then slip over the tube. Then, you'd insert the compression sleeve over the tube, sliding it down so that it will be inside the nut. Then, reassemble the nut to the elbow.

What I'm talking about looks like what you see in this page: Amazon.com: Brass - Compression Fittings / Tube Fittings: Industrial & Scientific (Possibly, the sleeve is made out of plastic.)
