Default Just a thought

If you have a problem with creep I would suggest that you cut 2x4's to length and place them between the top and the outriggers or wherever your top rests in the down position. Lower the top to the 2x4's rather than safety bar. This will relieve the back pressure on the lift system until you get it repaired and will also take the strain off the safety bar which wasn't intended to continually hold the weight of the top.
