I own a 1999 24TB Towlite. I have recently developed a leak at the fitting for the return line. I am not able to crawl under there very well but it looks like the leak is at the fitting the plastic tube is attached to. Any suggestions as to if thei fitting can be removed and replaced without it breaking off? This woulod let me buy a new part and reinstall without taking the whole cylinder off for repair. Name of cylinder manufacturer, parts? manual?

Loose - the return line does not hold any pressure, so virtually any kind of clamp you could apply should stop the leak. I've never had to service my return line, but possibly a hose clamp would work. You should not have to remove the cylinder at all.

I think it is the fitting or nipple that is leaking where the tubing attaches. I can try the clamp though and it may help...

Yes, an automotive water hose clamp suitable for 1/2" hoses should fit if that's something you can get on. Hydraulic fluid has the viscosity of water and it is much more "slippery", so even a tiny pin hole will allow a leak.
