Unhappy Plastic cover for power jack is cracked

Hi,
I am new to this forum, but very excited to be a new member. We have a 1999 HiLo Classic that we have had for 5 years. We love it. Last winter, during an ice storm, a branch fell and cracked the cover on the power lift mechanism. I contacted by email the HiLo folks (who had issued a statement that they are no longer building these wonderful units). I was informed that as this part comes assembled, they could not help me. I don't know if there is a HiLo graveyard or salvage yard somewhere that might have this? It looks like it can be removed with a Phillips head screwdriver and replaced. I hope someone can help!

Your best bet, is to find the MFG of the jack. in there somewhere will be a MFG tag I am sure, with serial # and model #, then use your favorite web search engine (I like google). I found parts for my awning this way.

lastly, you could glue and repair that cover, or a number of other ways to fix that cover, I would bet.

FWIW, You are a camper owner now, you are going to either learn to be Handy with tools an materials, or know someone who is.

When I was at J&R Trailer Repair two weeks ago I saw several of the replacement covers for Atwood jacks stacked together on a shelf. You can contact Rob or Jim and I'm sure they'll fix you up with a new cover.
